15 Days of Valentines!! Day 1

Happy Love Month! Ah I've been waiting for this month for a while! Myself and my friend Amanda are doing our own 15 days of valentines with our nail posts. For the next 15 days I will be posting a new Love Nail everyday! YAY! So, without anymore waiting here are my first Love Nails!

Tonight I have for you my first ever flower nails! These were really easy and fun to do. I found a tutorial on YouTube that helped me a lot. You can visit the video here. The base I used a pale green from Essie. The name unfortunately is missing. For the roses I used white and Fuschia Fantastic by China Glaze.
Have fun with your manicures this month! Goodnight! Until tomorrow!

Peppermint kisses

I just LOVE this color!! What a great buy! I bought this from Lush Lacquer, you can find the shop on Etsy. This color is a creamy white with specks of fuchsia, pink and green sparkles. All I can say is beautiful. I was drawn to this color like I was drawn to Its A Trap-eze! From China Glaze. They have the same effect that I love. The creamy look is sexy! A must buy!!! Go check them out at :

Lush Lacquer

Woohoo! My wait is finally over! I just received in the mail my order from Lush And Lacquer.
I ordered 7 minis and 2 full size bottles. They have great specials, example, what i bought was 7 minis for 35$. What i love about this, is that i can try out the polish in a smaller size and if i want more i get the big bottle. Not a lot of places offer this. How lovely! so lets get started and ill tell you all about the polishes!

Lite Bright is very bright, funky clear base color packed with all different sized orange, green, purple, blue, red and pink medium and large square and hexagonal glitter. There are even little iridescent glitters that are also thrown in there. What a party in a bottle!

Peppermint Kisses is a Christmas color but OMG its one of my favorite! This is a white base color full of pink, green, red and white hexagonal and square glitter. It really does look like peppermint.

Minty Chip. Speaks for itself no? this is one of my favorite that I've been wanting to try forever! It is a mint green opaque base with black and white square and hexagonal glitter that resemble chips! Awesome!!!

This one is so magical. It really does look like a Snow Globe! this polish is a clear base full of matte pink, yellow, blue and purple sparkles with added little itty bitty white ones as well.

Santa Baby is another Christmas color that I love. Unfortunately I just looked at the sight and this color isn't available anymore :( .   This is a clear base PACKED with red and black and white all different shaped glitter.

Shattered is a clear base with shredded and hexagonal glitter. This is what a clown would look like if blown up! ha! So many colors its beautiful!

This color reminds me a lot of Black Friday (see below). Except that the base is white instead of black! the color of sparkles consists of blue, green, yellow, orange, red and purple. all hexagonal and bars. This color reminds me of frosting with sprinkles stirred into it! Gorgeous!

Party Rocking is a blue base jelly color packed with glitter. Fushia, purple, gold, blue and iridescent glitter make up this color.

Black Friday is a black jelly based polish full of different sizes and shapes of red, yellow, green, orange, pink , purple and blue matte sparkles. It also has red short bar glitter added as well. The seller also states that there is a full coverage with 3 coats.

This is their business card and I suggest anyone who is a sparkle freak to check these ladies out! They are a mother and daughter team who just have a great eye for the fabulous! Great jobs ladies!!!

Romanian Inspired Flag

Hello fellow readers! Today's Manicure was inspired by my boyfriend Claudiu. He came up with the layout of his home flag, Romania. I didn't quite use proper polish for this one. I drew out my pattern with my Orly Nail Art Brushes. This was pretty fun, I've been wanting to do a flag manicure for a while and I'm glad I did Romania. Its a beautiful country and I was lucky enough to visit it in 2011. Enjoy!

My first Tribal

Hey guys. So I though I would try and give a tribal manicure a try. I've always admired people that do them so nicely and I realized how hard they are to do! This manicure took me two hours to do, also it was partly because I didn't know what pattern I wanted to do as well. So I first did a base coat of Alpine Snow from OPI. The red I used was Silken Cord from Essie and the teal color is Aquadelic from China Glaze. I taped off what I wanted left to be white and filled in the spaces with the colors. I used my trusty black striper to do the fine lines and patterns. Now when I look at it I really do think Mexico. Haha a lot of my friends and clients thought the same. Oh well. I liked the red and teal contrast but I think next time I'll take out the white. Anyway let me know what you all think of it and if you have any tips for me let me know as well !
Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

Beetlejuice Stripes

Hey guys! Today I was inspired by Michael Keaton's character Beetlejuice.
For my base although I didn't use a white base coat I used a light sand color called Sand Tropez from Essie. When all was dry I used my trusty orly nail art brush in black and free handed the lines.
What a good movie! When I was looking up a picture I found the cartoon Beetlejuice also! I used to watch that all the time when I was a kid. Good memories :).

Anyway let me know what you think !!!

The Impossible by Mariah Carey

Hello everyone! Well I got my second liquid sand here for you. This lovely red/pink is called The Impossible! Now I'm still not sure that I completely love this polishes. I love the look but I hate the fight that I have when I'm removing it. Plus I found that the stars that are in this color, the little corners stick up after a while and make them scratchy. Overall I'm just not sure about this line. I see where they were trying to go with it BUT over a few days it looks horrible. I think that the two last colors I have, I will only make accent nails.

Can't Let Go by Mariah Carey

Today  I have for you Can't Let Go by Mariah Carey. I showed you the swatches on a plastic nail swatch before and this was my first attempt with playing with the liquid sand line. Overall I do like them but without putting a top coat on top, I find that the sand chips off and the glitter starts flaking off. I think I would just do an accent nail with these... Interesting line but not my favorite for a long running manicure... I work with water, and being in it all day I need a long lasting polish. Fun for an evening but not a work day :(

Color Club Backstage Pass

Hello dear readers! Recently I borrowed a few shades from the color club line- backstage pass from my close friend Amanda. I loved the colors even before I tried them but my dilemma was I didn't know what I wanted to with them... So I came up with doing a black base and doing the sparkles as a tip fading downwards. The silver sparkle is Platinum Record, the purple is Its A Hit, the pink color is Fame and Fortune and the gold sparkle is Take the Stage. ( I didn't have five of them so my thumb is Techno from china glaze.) I definitely will be borrowing the silver again. As for the pink one, I was a little disappointed. It doesn't shimmer and shine the way I thought it would. Oh well you can't be happy with them all! It's a beautiful line and I think everyone should play with them at least once! Happy painting guys!

Liquid Sand by Mariah Carey

Hey guys! found some free WI-FI in the building and I thought I would chat about the new Mariah Carey line she just recently brought out. Since I'm seeing a lot of textured nail polishes around I thought I would purchase the liquid sand line.

I didn't have time to swatch them all but I do have them on plastic nail swatches!

The pink/red one is called The Impossible. This contains the iridescent sand you will find in all of them, along with red hexagonal glitter, silver holographic stars as well as silver and red holographic dust. The sparkles are beautiful! I cannot wait to play with this one!

The next we have is Cant Let Go. This one is a clear purple base filled with small purple glitter and larger hexagonal glitter with shimmery sand. Quite nice butIi find it looks a little dull when its dry.

Next we have Get Your Number. This is a blue base with holographic silver dust and circular glitters and shimmery sand. Beautiful in person! I cant wait to try this one out!

Last but not least we have Stay The Night. This is a matte black with tons of red glitter! Another beauty!

These all covered well in 2 coats for the swatches, the only thing that I found was a small problem was that the textured nail polish makes the brush slightly fatter then I would like.  But nothing I cant work with!
Keep an eye out for my proper swatches!

Cirque du soleil

Hey everyone! I couldn't resist I had to blog a post from my phone. I'm sitting at my grandmothers with my mom and I just had this funky idea because I was using my cirque du soleil it's a trap-eze!
So this manicure I did all free hand. The base color is turned up turquoise from china glaze. I used my orly nail art in black and silver and drew swirl patterns on my right hand. Now since doing those I found hard even with my writing hand I decided to just do stripes on my left. Hey it's a circus look everything is weird. Top it off with my orly glosser and voila! My swirl look is finished! Have a great week everyone!
Let me know what you all think!

Tape manicure

Hello everyone! So today I have for you a tape manicure done with Orly- miss conduct and wild wisteria. For this look you will paint your nails with your lighter shade, in my case miss conduct and wait till it is completely dry. Usually when I wait I take this time to cut my strips of tape. When my polish is dry I then place my strips of tape where I want them and paint the darker color you choose, my case wild wisteria on top. NOTE: do one nail at a time, I find the tape leaves residue on the nail if left on too long. Make sure to remove the tape as fast as possible so that your lines stay crisp. Wait until dry to apply top coat and then your done!

Unfortunately I won't be making another post for a week and a bit. I'm heading out of town and where ill be doesn't have Internet. But make sure to check back at the end of next week and ill post the minute I'm back!! Have a great week everyone!

Let me know what you think of my nail pattern I always like hearing from you guys. :)

Glistening Snow

Hello everyone! For today I brought out Glistening Snow from China Glaze Holiday Joy Collection! This color is such a winter color. Its just packed with soft silver sparkles that make my nails look so magical... Reminds me of early morning when the fresh fallen snow hit the ground, Sparkles in the sun.Two coats and you get a very nice coverage. The only downside I had with this color is the fact that it stays bumpy. The formula seems to soak up any topcoat so you need to put a few. The great thing about this color is that nothing would chip it! GREAT! I had a fun time taking it off but it was worth the struggle. What saddens me is the fact that these pictures don't do justice to the sparkly look it has. Anyway if you want a beautiful color in your collection this is a color for you!

The Living Daylights

Well everyone, I've finally used my James Bond sparkles The Living Daylights! For some reason these got put into my nail box and I slightly forgot about them... But I love the turquoise, copper, and silver colored sparkles that are in this polish! These hexagon sparkles are in a clear polish base which I painted on top of Eiffel for this color by OPI, which is a deep purple.

I think that these were a great idea for the new year and a great first choice also for 2013! Happy new year everyone!!!

Brit by Julep (suede)

Good evening everyone! For today's post I have a color that my boyfriends sister, Catrinel, bought me for Christmas! Brit- by Julep is a graphite silver suede that really goes on well. Two very pigmented coats and I was done. Because its a suede, the dry time is next to nothing. I actually haven't had the opportunity to play around with suede colors so I'm glad to say that I love them! I am curious to see how long they last for though, since there really isn't a way to put a top coat on top... I will blog that next time I try my other suede color Minka. Until next time!

If you are curious to purchase this brand you can find them at : http://www.julep.com/shop/nail-color.html
