Bottoms Up! and Sun of a Peach!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is having a lovely long weekend! I know I am. Last night my boyfriend and I and his sister and brother-in-law all went out to celebrate our anniversaries. ( My boyfriend and i were celebrating 6 years together and his sister and husband 3 years married) We went out for sushi at our favorite place and then went for ice cream! The night was a little cold but who cares right? Its ice cream!

Then today my lovely man brought me out to see Star Trek 2! Was awesome. I had such a good time.. It got me in the mood to watch the older ones.

Anyhow I spent some time doing my nails and practicing my leopard print. Now if you have a hard time with this pattern or are not familiar with it, I found this video by Chalkboard Nails very helpful.

I paired my leopard print nails with some zebra patterns as well and i chose my new China Glaze summer collection colors Bottoms Up! and Sun of a Peach! Even though I bought the whole line I don't really care what people say about this line. Other then the jellies being a tad too thin the creams are amazing! Plus I love how bright they all are!

Anyway I would very much appreciate you letting me know what you think and if you are a new timer to my blog and like what you see I would love for you to follow me! I appreciate everything that you guys do!

Essie's Resort 2013 Collection

Good day ladies! I have for you today Essie's 2013 Resort collection that I picked up at Belmonda. This collection consists of 4 polishes. What i love about all of these is that they go on super well even with one coat. But I always do two.
Under Where? is a very light pink lilac purple creme color which I found a little thinner then the rest of the polishes in this line. That would probably be my only downside to this color. I love purple polish and in the summer this will look fabulous on my toes!
In the Cab-ana is a nice bright blue. I have a few of these in my collection which i will compare to in the future. again its a lovely creme easy to apply but hard to take a photo of! I didn't have luck with with the sun today, it was super cloudy and cold!!!

Come here is a orange/red creme color and I think this is my favorite of the bunch.  This formula was amazing to apply. A really nice creme color and super silky when putting it on.

Last but not least we have First Timer which is a minty green creme. Depending on the light it looks a little more green. I don't have too many mint greens just because they don't do much for my skin but this one was just beautiful. I found this one easy to apply, it wasn't streaky or anything. I'm really impressed with this line.

All in all this is a nice little collection for the summer. If you are thinking gifts this would make any nail polish lover happy.
Have a nice evening everyone!

Color Club Halo Hues 2013 swatches!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there today!!! I had the pleasure of making an awesome breakfast for my mother, father and boyfriend today. I love making my mom happy, so having small breakfasts from time to time are great.
She also brought over something that I had ordered this week... I bought 3 of the 6 halo hues from the 2013 color club line. Eternal beauty, Beyond and Miss bliss. These are I'd like to tell you my FIRST holographic nail polishes I have ever had. I am just sooooo happy with them! I've had my eyes on holo's for a while and these seemed very reasonable.
I will start off with Eternal Beauty which is a gorgeous holographic purple. The coverage of these polishes is just amazing! 2 coats and it's completely covered.  I don't want to be someone who just loves every polish I get but WOW the sparkle in this polish was amazing! I wore this color for a whole week and the only problem that I had with it was a small wearing down of the tips. Not one chip. Being a hairdresser all I can say is AMAZING!
This pretty pink one is called Miss Bliss.

And last but not least I have Beyond. This one I found a little hard to photograph the sparkle but I do assure you that the shine was there!

More Stripes!

What can I say I love stripes!! This time I have custom kicks from china glaze for my base and I have to say when I removed this color my whole nail and skin stayed blue/green. Was super disappointing and a hassle to get off.
But anyway the look was nice!
I used my trusty orly nail art in gold and black, a super easy pattern and a cute look is achieved!

Anyway for this beautiful days manicure I chose to do something playful and colorful!
The pink I have for today is fuscia fantastic buy china glaze! And for my colorful ones I used my orly nail art stripers in yellow, green, neon orange and purple! Fun huh?

Lush Lacquer in Clowning Around!!!!

I thought I would start swatching my Lush Lacquer colors I bought a few weeks ago. I am starting off with Clowning around, which is a clear base packed with neon sparkles! Now what I love about these glitters is that they are kind of see through as well, which is neat because you get a blue and a yellow and it make green on my nails! AWESOME!
I painted my nails first with whats with the cattitude by OPI. I wanted a fun light blue to be the base for these perfect colors. I applied 2 coats of glitter and voila! Awesomeness.

You can find this color at Lexi and Karin's Etsy store here. I bought the polish for $9.41 but the price varies depending on your country.

Get this for your collection! This is an instant classic for me!

Personelle Nail Stickers in Plaid

Well I've been quite obsessed with nail stickers these past few weeks and  I found some cheap ones at the local pharmacy near my home. Well let me start off with... The picture is probably the only nice thing about them! First off, they were all too small for my nails. Plus they were too rounded to even look normal on my fingers! Next, I washed a clients hair and when I was done, I wiped my hands off on a towel and off went two of them!!! CRAP! Even with a nice top coat on top they still wiped off easily. before I started my client I peeled them all off. Oh well. I got a cute picture for my blog!

Kiss Nail Dress in peacock feather print

Hello my friends! Well today I have for you a different strip manicure for you from Kiss! I chose the peacock feather pattern and tear are exactly the same as you would do the Sally Hansen ones. Now the only difference I felt with these is that they are a little thicker then Sally's and they are more like a sticker then anything! These do not harden like the nail effects. When you want to remove these you just peel them off. No need for remover. That was the great part! They do leave a little residue of the glue on the nail but I just rubbed my finger over it and it disappeared. Since they are more sticker like I am testing it out in a ziplock bag. I wonder if I can keep the excess ones longer? Anyway I absolutely loved the patterns that this brand has and I will definitely be using them again! Check them out!
Walmart seems to be the cheapest place to buy them but I found that uniprix had the bigger variety!

Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Wild Child

Hey! I haven't been posting this week because I am trying out the Sally Hansen Salon Effect stick ons in zebra ( wild child is the proper name)!! These are awesome! I saw them and wanted them for my toes but the more I was playing with them the more I realized I had enough for my fingers as well. The other reason I haven't posted this week was because they were suppose to last up to 10 days. So I wanted to challenge them and see if that's true. None of them popped off but they sure did chip. I put them on Friday night and by Monday they were chipping. BUT being a hairdresser I'm in water a lot so I think that wasn't so bad. The ones on my toes however are still as fresh as day one. Super sexy! I recommend anyone going on vacation who wants a super cool pedi to apply these! I'm definitely going to be trying these out again!
I would think Walmart would be the cheapest place to get them, however I bought mine at uniprix for 9.99$.

Do check them out!!!

Neons by LushLacquer!!!

I bought the whole line of Neons from my favorite Etsy store - LushLacquer. There were a total of six in the new line they made and they are amazing!!!

First we will start off with Neon Lights!

This one is a white opaque base packed with hexagonal neon glitters! It contains neon pink, neon yellow, neon orange and neon green. This is one awesome color!!!

Next we have Haywire!

Like the first one I just showed you, Haywire also has a white opaque base to it. This polish has hexagonal and bar glitter crammed in that bottle!!! There is neon pink, neon yellow, neon green, neon orange, neon purple and neon blue scattered throughout this color combination.

Next in line is Green Geenie!

\

This polish is a pale lime green opaque base with tons of colorful rainbow like hexagonal glitter! This is a beautiful color!

Next is I Lost My Marbles!

This is just such a cute pink it reminds me of cotton candy! With sprinkles!!!  This polish is a pink opaque base, which covers pretty well in two coats. Again it is jam packed with rainbow bright hexagonal glitter.

Next we have Blue Gypsy!

This color I just adore! Its a Blue jelly base nail polish with awesome shapes of glitter! You cant see it in my picture but there are stars in this polish! AWESOME!!! I love different shapes in my glitter. This color also has giant orange circles as well. This one is a must!

And finally last but not least we have Clowning Around!

This my friends is a clear base polish with all those yummy glitters we were seeing in the other colors! This is perfect if you have a awesome base color of your own and you want to pizzazz it up with some neons!

All in all I am super happy with my purchase! I definitely recommend that you check out Karin and Lexi's store at Etsy. The link again is LushLacquer.

I'll be sure to post my swatches as soon as I have tried them all!!!

Eurso Euro...

I quickly did my nails at work yesterday because I was stepping out with my boyfriend and his boss and co-worker for a concert at Place des Arts. We had a great time! There was a cocktail before hand where we had some wine, and before you know it we were ushered in to the hall for the symphony. Even though the singing was in french I really did enjoy the instruments.

Anyway my classy fingernails were painted Eurso Euro by OPI.

Check them out! Its such a beautiful color blue!

Flashy Toes!

Sorry everyone that I haven't posted in a while, I do my nails, take my pictures and then just realize its time for bed and I start that all over again the next day!!!
So I do have a few posts to do today. The first one is a funky Toe Nail design I recently tried. I received some nail glue when I ordered from Bornprettystore.com and I thought that I would glue some jewels to my toes.

The base color that I chose for my toes was Ogre the top blue from OPI. With a name like that you know for sure its from the Shrek line!
The Rhinestones that I placed on top were dark blue, light blue, pale yellow, pale green and a few silver ones. I dumped out way too many for my toes so I will have to get back to those and separate them.

Anyway, its great to be back! have a great evening!

P.S. Sorry for my funny looking toes! I don't usually like to show them! haha

Colorful polka dots!

Good morning everyone! Just sitting in the parking lot at work waiting for the boss to show to open up, so I thought I'd post some new pictures!
I have pool party as a base from china glaze with four different color polka dots. I focused them more on the side of the nails.
Now I didn't want to do the same for my left hand so I chose some different blues. I thought this would be where I try out the blue from the Mariah Carey line in the sand. I have to say it sparkles more then the purple. It's the nicer one :) well off to work! Have a great day everyone!
