Pink Candy Nails (Inspired by Robin Moses)

These nails were Inspired by Robin Moses nail tutorial which you can see here :  http://robinmosesnailart.blogspot.ca/2012/12/weeping-angels-weeping-angel-nail-art.html.

I absolutely love her nail art tutorials and I wanted to give one a shot. For my base I used Teenage Dream by Katy Perry OPI.  I thought it was the only similar base color I had that would match Robins. next I used my Orly nail art in Pink Pastel and added the candy lines. Topped it all off with some Glosser from Orly and voila! My Candy nails inspired by Robin Moses!

Teenage Dream

Good afternoon on this beautiful sunny Sunday. With New Years tomorrow I thought that Teenage Dream from the Katy Perry OPI Collection would be very fun. I love sparkles while celebrating the ball drop. After all, you need to look your best when 12am rolls around...

Pink Nails in a Snowstorm!

Wow today started out super bad! I looked outside my window and there was a huge storm! Montreal got hit with 45cm of snow today! HORRIBLE! I went to work just to leave two hours later and then got stuck on my brothers road going to see him. Luckily there were people outside and they helped shovel me out. The day didn't get better there. We took a stop at our uncles place to help shovel the stairs but he said it would be pointless... I agree, the snow was not giving up... Came home to only find out that the buildings parking lot wasn't plowed and I had no where to park! Ah, I hate snow...
If you can spot the man in the picture that's my brother coming to my rescue when I was stuck in the snow. He walked all the way home to grab a shovel. Gotta love him. xox

At least I had nice nails... Wet nasty hair, but nice nails.
The basecoat that I used today was Pool Party from China Glaze, followed by some Orly nail art in a criss-cross pattern followed by my fave sparkles.

 Happy Snow Day Everyone! xoxo

Christmas Eve Snowflakes!

Hello everyone! so Christmas eve is tomorrow and I just had to get one more manicure in there before the festivities start. With work tomorrow as well as a drive to Ottawa I didn't see where I would be able to do my nails! so these are my holiday nails!

I had recently asked a fellow nail blogger Anastasia Park to do a tutorial on snowflakes. You can check out her tutorial at http://mymakeupmania.blogspot.ca/2012/12/my-christmas-pedicure-freehand.html.
I tried to mimic what she has showed us to do, but unfortunately I do not have a super fine detail brush. so I was limited to my small lines. So I tried out my own version of the snowflakes. I will be trying these out again in the new year after I go for a run to the art store for a small brush!

I would like to thank again Anastasia Park for taking her time to do her tutorial especially for me!

My addiction to Polka-dots!

Hello dear readers! Today I have for you a multi-colored polka-dot theme I did last night for you guys. I was inspired by Issy's nails from our nail party that we had last Tuesday night. Almost using the same colors, I decided that it would be a little bit more interesting to incorporate a dark color into it. I used China Glaze- Electric Beat which is the blue one, OPI- I eat mainly lobster and OPI- Miami Beat.

I've been wanting to revise some of my old posts that I added in a hurry when I first started blogging. So with a title as my addiction to polka-dots I figured i would put them all together in this blog as well.
This pink polka-dot manicure is done with Essie- Lights and OPI- Funky Dunky.

This polka-dot manicure I did for my boyfriends Ring ceremony when he was awarded his engineering ring. I had a black and white dress on with black heals and I wanted my nails to match as well. Everyone was quite fond of the contrasting index finger ;)

Nail Party!

 Issy's nails:
For these beauties we used OPI- I eat mainly lobster, OPI- Gargantuan green grape and China Glaze- Aquadelic. I just saw polka-dots with these colors and it came out perfect!
 Lily's nails:
For these 60's style nails we used OPI- Shorts story and Orly (I don;t have the name for this color). We topped it off with a bundle monster Stamp.
 Skylar's nails:
We used OPI-Alpine Snow as the base color with a bundle monster moon stamp on the ring fingers. Added some funky stripes with my Orly nail art and topped it all off with some gorgeous silver sparkles.
 Tess's nails:
These nails took forever to come up with. I just had to add that for Tess, lol. we used OPI- Dating a royal with China Glaze- Smoke and ashes.  On top of the black we added Orly nail art stripes in Silver and on the blue I used Different Dimensions top coat in Social Suicide. Again, I topped it all off with my silver sparkles, and voila!
Hope you all had fun!!!

Creative Fantasy!

I couldn't wait to try on this purple. Again, I know I'm  little late getting the colors but hey what can I say, I can't spend all my money on polish! ( I wish I could though lol)
This purple is from the Cirque du Soleil line from China Glaze. With a name called Creative Fantasy I needed to do something creative. That's when my rhinestones came into use. I've seen manicures done with one full nail done with stones and I thought I would do two!
I painted my nails with three coats of the purple. I found that this color was a little thin so it needed a couple of coats for full coverage. After I just took my time and placed one stone at a time.
I've already had a ton of compliments while Christmas shopping about my nails, which means... You should definitely try this manicure out and see for yourself!

Christmas Party Leopard Print

For our work party my coworker came over to get her nails done to match her dress. Guess what the pattern was? You guessed it! LEOPARD!
We started off with a base of Alpine Snow from OPI and waited until they were dry. In the meantime we enjoyed a lovely cup of wild-berry tea. :)

When her nails were dry we used my Konad image plate number M57. The only thing that I have to find is a topcoat that doesn't streak the special Konad nail polish. Any suggestions?

Party Blue!!

There's not a lot I can say about this blue except its STUNNING!! The color is from China Glaze with the name Frostbite.  There was a fundraiser at my old hairdressing school for the students to go to New York. They were doing blow-dry's and manicures and my old aesthetics teacher saved this color for me. She knows me too well. I had a blast that night. I added all my nail art the following day myself. Very party-ish nails. The silver sparkles I used reminds me of shimmering diamonds.  These were all out glamour nails!
what do you prefer for a party?

Colorful Leopard Print Manicure

Well this one is from the vault! I did it awhile ago and forgot about it. I dont know how I did! Its beautiful! I was still new to stamping so this was one of the first! When I was finished with the pattern i added small little dots of color in the big spots. Pretty cute huh?
